MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
If you are interested in taking a more sensible approach to improving your life you can contact your nearest branch and discuss your goals confidentially, then arrange to attend a meeting [without obligation] to ensure what we offer matches your needs.
You will receive an introductory one-on-one session with our welcoming hostess who explains how our program works. The hostess is always available to help and to answer any questions you may have, be it at the club or on the phone.
Our members are friendly and helpful, so making friends is easy. With the support of volunteers with the same goals, we are here to help you along your journey to better health.
All new members receive a “Starter Kit,” which consists of a healthy eating plan, a name badge, a personal weight-record card, a letter requesting your doctor’s approval & their recommendation of your goal weight, a weight conversion sheet and other useful information.
Joining our club can be a truly rewarding experience. Not only do you get weekly support though your weight-loss journey but once you have achieved your goal weight, you are encouraged to maintain this goal and become a “Graduate” thereby joining other members who have achieved this goal and in turn help other new members.
MEMBERSHIP FEES
Unlike other large weight-loss organisations our fees are very affordable and are kept to a minimum.
There is a once-only joining fee of approximately $20.00 – $35.00 then a weekly meeting fee of between $3.00 and $6.00, depending on Club location. Subsequent annual membership fee applies thereafter.
Advantages to Weight Loss
REDUCED HEALTH RISKS
The impact being overweight or obese has on your body is one of the main reasons to lose weight. The more weight you gain, the more at risk you put yourself for some serious medical conditions. High blood pressure, high cholesterol, type-2 diabetes, sleep apnea, arthritis and even some forms of cancer are linked to carrying around excess weight. Even losing a moderate amount of weight when you’re obese — 5 to 10 percent — can significantly reduce your risk for chronic disease.
